Symptoms of mold toxicity can include runny nose, headaches, trouble breathing, skin rashes, coughing, itchiness of skin or eyes. There can be many more symptoms as everyone reacts to mold differently. Consider a mold issue if you have a symptom that just will not resolve and it seems worse in your home (or workplace). Each family member will respond differently, you might not all have the same symptom (or some might not react as well).

Once you have identified the mold source, clean it up. Then a ND can help to detoxify your system to help it clear out the mold. A personalized approach will be taken, depending on the severity of your symptoms. Then they can identify if the mold has caused issues with other systems. It can affect the gut and the microbiome, the lining of the lungs and respiratory tract, the liver (your main detoxification organ) and kidneys as well as other areas of the body. Naturopathic medicine can help to build up these systems so that they can function optimally.
